[OSENWORLD] Singer and actress Jo Yu-ri is officially stepping into the world of Squid Game Season 3—this time as Player 222, a new character named Jun-hee. And yes, she vividly remembers the audition.
In her June 30 appearance on the popular YouTube show Calm Down Man (침착맨), Jo shared updates on her recent activities, including the upcoming release of Squid Game Season 3 and her musical comeback slated for mid-July.
Jo offered viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the production, from her audition experience to the energy on set. Speaking about her role as Jun-hee, she said, “It was difficult to express all the emotions she goes through, but at the same time, I felt a deep sense of humanity in her.”
She also joined the host for a lighthearted “Ideal Type World Cup” featuring characters from Squid Game Season 3, keeping things fun with witty commentary and playful banter.
Another highlight of the episode came when Jo gave Calm Down Man an exclusive first listen of her upcoming title track. She even hummed a portion of the song, drawing a smile from the host, who remarked, “It sounds like the perfect song for summer—very refreshing.” Jo added, “Each track on the album has a different vibe and genre,” raising anticipation for her return.
As the show wrapped up, Jo said, “I’ve really wanted to be on this show. It was so much fun. Thank you to everyone who joined us in the comments. I’ll definitely come back again.” The full episode will be uploaded to the Calm Down Man YouTube channel on July 3.
