[OSENWORLD] BTS has earned another global honor — this time, for their work in design.
The group’s immersive pop-up installation, BTS POP-UP: MONOCHROME, has won the prestigious Red Dot Award in the “Brands & Communication Design” category at the 2025 Red Dot Design Awards. The competition is recognized as one of the world’s top three design awards, alongside Germany’s iF Design Award and the U.S.-based IDEA (International Design Excellence Awards).
Established in 1955, the Red Dot Design Award is one of the most prestigious honors in the global design industry. Each year, a panel of international experts evaluates entries across three categories — Product Design, Design Concept, and Brands & Communication Design — based on creativity, functionality, and completeness. This year’s awards ceremony will be held on November 7 in Germany.
The MONOCHROME pop-up was crafted around the poetic concept of delivering a “memory cloud” filled with shared moments between BTS and their fans. It launched in April last year in Seoul and made its way to nine global cities, including Tokyo, Jakarta, Bangkok, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Manila, and Hong Kong. Within a year-long run, the installation drew more than 270,000 visitors, a testament to its overwhelming success.
BTS has previously hosted a wide range of pop-up experiences, both as a group and through individual members. From exploring new album concepts to reflecting on each artist’s personal journey, these exhibitions have consistently pushed the boundaries of creative storytelling. Their pop-ups have evolved into immersive spaces where fans can deeply connect with BTS’s message and artistic vision.
