[OSENWORLD] BTS’s V (real name Kim Taehyung) is calling on fans to help maintain order at airports, reminding them that airports are shared public spaces.
During a recent live stream on fan community platform Weverse, V said, “Airports aren’t just ours — they’re shared spaces, so we should be mindful of order.” He added with a hint of regret, “I can’t say goodbye at the airport like I used to.”
V went on to reference the “Purple Line” campaign — a fan-initiated movement that began in 2018. The project involved creating safe paths at airports using BTS’s symbolic purple ribbons, helping to ensure both security for the members and respect for surrounding travelers.
“I’d be so grateful if fans brought back the Purple Line,” V said. “That way, I could even spend ten more minutes picking out what to wear to the airport,” he joked.
He added with a laugh, “No matter how good the outfit is, it doesn’t really matter if no one gets to take a photo. But if ARMYs follow the rules, I’d even consider wearing a suit.”
V’s comments come amid growing concerns over fan congestion at celebrity arrivals and departures in airports, which have sometimes resulted in disruptions to general passenger traffic and confrontations with security personnel. His appeal highlights the importance of fans’ voluntary cooperation in ensuring public safety and mutual respect.
