[OSENWORLD] K-pop’s leading band DAY6 is set to make their long-awaited return.
At midnight KST on August 4, JYP Entertainment unveiled a teaser video titled “DAY6 10th Anniversary Announcement: The DECADE of Us” on the band’s official social media channels. The video announced that DAY6 will release their fourth full-length album, The DECADE, on September 5 at 6 PM KST.
The album marks their first studio album in nearly six years, following The Book of Us: Entropy released in October 2019. The announcement was met with excitement from fans who have eagerly awaited a full-group comeback.
Before the album’s release, the four-member band—Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon—will host a two-day anniversary concert titled DAY6 10th Anniversary Tour on August 30–31 at Goyang Sports Complex in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. It will mark a historic moment as DAY6 becomes the first Korean band to headline a concert at the venue. The shows will serve as a pre-comeback celebration and heartfelt reunion with their fandom, My Day.
DAY6 debuted on September 7, 2015, and has continued to build a dedicated following through consistent releases and dynamic live performances. On May 7, they released the digital single Maybe Tomorrow, which landed high on domestic streaming charts. Later that month, they wrapped their DAY6 3rd World Tour with six sold-out shows at Seoul’s KSPO Dome, drawing 96,000 fans across two weekends.
In July, the group also held their 4th Official Fanmeeting over six dates at Jamsil Indoor Stadium, reinforcing their strong connection with fans.
Additional content commemorating the band’s 10th anniversary is slated for release in the lead-up to the album, promising much more for longtime My Day supporters.
