[OSENWORLD] Rookie K-pop group NEWBEAT (members: Park Min-seok, Hong Min-sung, Jeon Yeo-yeo-jeong, Choi Seo-hyun, Kim Tae-yang, Jo Yun-hu, Kim Ri-woo) has released a surprise digital single titled ‘Cappuccino’, available on streaming platforms starting noon KST on August 5.
Cappuccino is NEWBEAT’s first release since their March debut album RAW AND RAD, and continues the group’s developing universe first introduced in the pre-release track JeLLo. This time, instead of jelly, the members sip cappuccino—and the caffeinated awakening leads to a fresh wave of excitement, curiosity, and nuanced emotion.
Grounded in old-school hip-hop and driven by punchy beats and addictive rap flows, Cappuccino reinforces NEWBEAT’s distinct musical identity. The track boasts an all-star production lineup, with credits including KZ, HONEYSWEAT, Andreas Öhrn, and Didrik Thott, while HONEYSWEAT also handled arrangement duties, crafting a polished and modern soundscape.
Rather than a formal comeback, Cappuccino was released as a surprise for fans. NEWBEAT first unveiled the performance at KCON LA 2025, earning a passionate response from global audiences. The stage reveal also fueled anticipation for an official digital release—which has now arrived.
Debuting earlier this year with RAW AND RAD, NEWBEAT quickly captured attention through appearances on Mnet’s debut show, SBS fan showcase, and major festival stages like Lovesome Festival 2025, Seoul Spring Festa, MyK FESTA, and Yeosu K-Mega Island Festival. Their momentum continued with a standout performance at KCON LA 2025, further cementing their status as a rising force in K-pop.
