[OSENWORLD] As TWICE celebrates the 10th anniversary of their debut this October, the group is riding a wave of global momentum this summer like never before.
Since their debut on October 20, 2015, TWICE has rolled out a series of major projects to mark their milestone year — including their 4th full-length album THIS IS FOR, a new world tour of the same name, their 6th Japanese studio album ENEMY, the original soundtrack for Netflix’s upcoming animated feature KPop Demon Hunters, and a 10th anniversary documentary film.
Among these, their 14th mini album Strategy — featured in KPop Demon Hunters — has seen a major resurgence, becoming TWICE’s highest-charting group track to date. On the Billboard Hot 100 chart dated August 5 (local time), “Strategy” jumped 18 spots to No. 74. The track “Takedown (Jeongyeon, Jihyo, Chaeyoung)” — a trio unit song — also entered the Hot 100 at No. 67, marking another significant win for the group.

On Spotify’s U.S. Daily Top Songs chart dated August 4, “Strategy” and “Takedown” recorded 511,773 and 556,417 streams respectively, landing at No. 48 and No. 42. Both songs have gone viral globally, fueled by buzz from the animated film and the group’s active touring schedule.
On August 2, TWICE made their highly anticipated festival debut at Lollapalooza Chicago, held at Grant Park in Illinois. The group became the first K-pop girl group to headline the event, delivering a powerful headline set that drew raves from fans and press alike. With a nonstop setlist of 20+ songs, world tour-honed choreography, and commanding stage presence, TWICE thrilled the massive crowd with a performance that proved their global stature.
Fans worldwide praised the performance as “a new standard for K-pop excellence,” with many hailing the moment as both historic and genre-defining.
Adding to the excitement, members Momo, Sana, and Jihyo made a surprise cameo during Sabrina Carpenter’s headlining set on August 3. The three members appeared on the big screen during Carpenter’s now-viral “Juno Arrest” skit — a playful segment where she theatrically “arrests” hot fans or celebrities using pink handcuffs. TWICE’s lighthearted interaction with Carpenter onstage drew loud cheers from the crowd and quickly went viral online.
With Billboard climbs, viral soundtrack success, and a historic festival debut, TWICE’s 10th year is shaping up to be their most impactful yet.
