[OSENWORLD] HYBE and Geffen Records’ global girl group KATSEYE continues to ride a wave of momentum on the U.S. charts.
According to Billboard’s latest rankings dated August 16, the group’s second EP BEAUTIFUL CHAOS ranked No. 69 on the Billboard 200, marking its sixth consecutive week on the chart after debuting at No. 4 on July 12. The EP also placed No. 17 on Top Album Sales and No. 15 on Top Current Album Sales, highlighting its staying power.
KATSEYE’s tracks are climbing on the Billboard Global charts as well. Gabriela rose to No. 44 on the Global 200 and No. 33 on Global Excl. U.S., securing its seventh straight week on both charts and jumping eight and seven spots, respectively, from last week. Gnarly climbed 11 spots to No. 93 on the Global 200 and 13 spots to No. 103 on Global Excl. U.S., extending its run to 14 weeks.
Just over a year after their debut, KATSEYE reignited global buzz with a high-energy set at Lollapalooza Chicago on August 3, captivating tens of thousands of festival-goers. Viral clips of the performance on social media helped propel their charting tracks upward.
On Spotify, Gabriela’s daily streams jumped from 2.22 million on the day of Lollapalooza to 2.68 million recently, while Gnarly’s daily plays rose from 1.47 million to around 1.7 million, both reflecting roughly 20% growth.
Older hits are also maintaining momentum. Touch, one of the double title tracks from KATSEYE’s July 2024 debut album SIS (Soft Is Strong), surpassed 400 million Spotify streams as of August 9. The group now has four songs surpassing 100 million streams, including Gabriela, Gnarly, and Debut.
Next up, KATSEYE will perform at Summer Sonic 2025 in Osaka and Tokyo from August 16–18, followed by Summer Sonic Extra, promising another round of high-impact performances for Japanese fans.
