[OSENWORLD] BOYNEXTDOOR is stepping up their activities in Japan with the release of their second Japanese single BOYLIFE and the music video for its title track “Count To Love.”
Described as a universally relatable love song, “Count To Love” playfully compares affection for a loved one to simply counting. With witty, down-to-earth lyrics, the track portrays realistic emotions in relationships in BOYNEXTDOOR’s signature style. Member Taesan contributed as both lyricist and composer, adding a personal touch that reflects the group’s individuality.
The single album captures youthful romance, charm, and fearless confidence. It features four tracks: the Japanese original “Count To Love,” along with Japanese versions of “I Feel Good,” “Nice Guy,” and “But Sometimes” (originally released in Korea).
The music video brims with fun as the six members appear as hosts of a fictional dating program, cheering on a couple in lighthearted, comedic fashion. Their playful efforts are paired with looks ranging from sharp suits to casual styles. The video also sparked buzz with a cameo from popular Japanese actor Rihito Itagaki.

To mark the release, BOYNEXTDOOR launched promotions on August 18 with a performance on TBS’ CDTV Live! Live! and will continue appearing on Japanese music shows, variety programs, and digital platforms. A media showcase is set for August 21 to celebrate the single’s launch.
The group recently wrapped their first solo tour, BOYNEXTDOOR TOUR ‘KNOCK ON Vol.1’, touring nationwide in Japan and strengthening their fanbase. With that momentum, anticipation is high for their latest release and upcoming activities.
