[OSENWORLD] The 2025 blockbuster Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle scored a spectacular debut in South Korea, attracting over 1.64 million moviegoers in just three days since its release — securing the #1 spot at the weekend box office.
After rapidly crossing the 1-million admissions milestone, the film drew a cumulative 1.65 million viewers over its opening weekend, holding the top position for three consecutive days. This marks the fastest box office climb of any 2025 release and cements its place as one of the most successful Japanese animated films ever released in Korea.
With weekend seat occupancy also leading the charts, attention is now on how quickly Infinity Castle will surpass the current record-holder for Japanese anime in Korea — the 5.58 million admissions of Suzume.
Audiences are raving: “The depiction of the Infinity Castle blew me away, each character moved like they were alive,” and “I think this is the new pinnacle of Japanese animation — truly immersive from start to finish.”
Set within the blood-drenched stronghold of Infinity Castle, the film is Part 1 of the final showdown between the Demon Slayers and the most elite demons. It opened on August 22, immediately pulling audiences into its blend of fantasy action and emotional spectacle.
