[OSENWORLD] BTS member V took center stage at Dodger Stadium with a ceremonial first pitch that instantly went viral — and later reflected on memories from his earliest days as an idol.
On Aug. 25, local time, V stepped onto the mound ahead of the Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Cincinnati Reds game, donning a Dodgers uniform as BTS’s hit “MIC Drop” blared through the speakers. With a bright smile, he delivered a left-handed pitch to thunderous applause from fans.
Reflecting on the experience through BigHit Music, V shared: “I once watched a Dodgers game with the members right after debut. Coming back here brought back those memories, and it was so much fun. Throwing the first pitch in a place tied to those early memories was especially meaningful. If I get another chance, I’d like to learn properly and do it again. I’m grateful for all the ARMY and baseball fans who cheered so passionately.”
V also surprised the crowd by returning to the mound to shout the Dodgers’ legendary opening line, “It’s time for Dodger baseball!” — a phrase immortalized by longtime broadcaster Vin Scully. The move sent the stadium into a frenzy and highlighted V’s showmanship.
Local broadcasters were equally effusive, calling him “a global sensation” and joking that his breaking ball was good enough for a contract. StubHub reported ticket sales for the game surged more than fivefold after his appearance was announced, briefly overwhelming servers.

With his first pitch, V once again proved his crossover star power, captivating audiences across music, sports, and global culture. Already an ambassador for luxury fashion, beverages, and lifestyle brands, he continues to expand his influence beyond the stage.
Meanwhile, BTS is preparing a spring 2026 comeback with a new album and a massive world tour.
