[OSENWORLD] (G)I-DLE’s MIYEON is set to officially release her own music for the first time. Her self-composed track “Sky Walking” will drop as a digital single on August 28 at 6 p.m. KST, Cube Entertainment confirmed through the group’s official social media channels.
The surprise “coming soon” teaser, released on August 27, featured a gift box with the words “Sky Walking” placed on a hotel luggage cart. Ahead of the single release, MIYEON had already captivated fans with a special performance clip, transforming into a hotelier, ballerina, and more—hinting at the track’s playful and versatile charm.
“Sky Walking” combines lyrical storytelling with MIYEON’s bright, refreshing vocals. Written and composed by the singer herself, the track represents her first step as a songwriter. She has since expanded that role, co-writing “Unstoppable” from (G)I-DLE’s 8th mini-album We Are, released in May.
Fans first heard “Sky Walking” during the group’s 2024 world tour iDOL in Seoul last August, followed by a broadcast premiere at KCON Germany 2024 in October. A special clip released in December further fueled demand for an official release, making the single a long-awaited gift for fans.
Most recently, (G)I-DLE received the honor of “Best Overseas Artist of the Year” at the 2025 TMELive International Music Awards, held at Macau’s Galaxy Arena on August 23. The group will next step up their global activities with the release of their Japanese EP i-dle on October 3.
