[OSENWORLD] MONSTA X are back as a full group, marking their 10th anniversary with the release of their new mini album THE X.
According to Starship Entertainment, the six-member group — Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney, and I.M — dropped the album today (Sept. 1) at 6 p.m. KST across major streaming platforms. A comeback talk live will follow at 8 p.m. on the group’s official YouTube channel.
A Decade in the Making
THE X encapsulates MONSTA X’s ten-year journey since debut, blending the intensity and performance that have defined their career with a vision for new possibilities. As their first release with all six members reunited, anticipation from fans has reached fever pitch.
The six-track album includes pre-release single Do What I Want, title track N the Front, and Savior, Tuscan Leather, Catch Me Now, and Fire & Ice. Members Hyungwon, Joohoney, and I.M contributed songwriting and production, further solidifying the group’s distinctive storytelling.
‘N the Front’: A Bold Declaration
The title track N the Front embodies MONSTA X’s present identity: rather than following others, they declare themselves the standard. The lyrics reject being confined by others’ standards, defining “the front” on their own terms.
Its music video visualizes inner monsters unleashed on the world, capturing the members in rebellious, raw sequences that blend edgy action with cathartic spectacle.
Performance Kings
Known as “믿듣퍼” (short for “trusted and must-see performers”), MONSTA X reaffirmed their reputation with their sold-out 10th anniversary concerts CONNECT X in Seoul and Japan. Their explosive stages for Do What I Want already showcased the energy and polish earned through a decade of experience, raising expectations for the performances of N the Front.
Ahead of release, the group dropped an album preview video on August 31 via social media, highlighting Hyungwon’s self-composed Fire & Ice, Joohoney’s Do What I Want and Tuscan Leather, and I.M’s Savior. Each track promises a different texture and story, fueling excitement among global fans.
With THE X, MONSTA X continue their evolution as performers and creators, reaffirming why they remain one of K-pop’s most dynamic groups after ten years.
