[OSENWORLD] Following the global success of Netflix’s animated hit KPop Demon Hunters, Apple TV+ is keeping the K-pop momentum alive with KPOPPED, a new music competition series that pairs K-pop idols with world-famous pop stars.
The eight-part series has quickly captured global attention since its premiere. On September 2, the production team behind KPOPPED shared that the show has been receiving glowing reviews from international audiences.
KPOPPED brings together top K-pop groups and legendary Western artists to reinterpret each other’s biggest hits. The show not only spotlights the collaborative performances but also documents the creative process in Seoul, their cultural exchanges, and behind-the-scenes moments of global stars experiencing Korean culture firsthand.
The lineup is star-studded: Grammy-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion, iconic vocalist Patti LaBelle, and R&B legends Boyz II Men join forces with K-pop powerhouses ITZY, Kep1er, STAYC, ATEEZ, and Kiss of Life. Together, they breathe new life into classics like “Savage”, “Wannabe”, “Waterfalls”, and “Motown Philly.”
