[OSENWORLD] BTS has set another major milestone on the global music platform Spotify.
As of August 31, “My Universe”, the group’s 2021 collaboration with Coldplay, has surpassed 1.5 billion cumulative streams. It marks BTS’s second group track to reach this milestone, following “Dynamite.”
The track, featured on Coldplay’s ninth studio album Music of the Spheres, was co-written and co-composed by both bands. Upon its release, it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming BTS’s sixth chart-topper in the United States. It also peaked at No. 3 on the U.K. Official Singles Chart, underlining its global impact.
Under BigHit Music, a label of HYBE, BTS continues to dominate Spotify’s streaming charts. “Dynamite” has already crossed 2 billion streams, while “Butter”, “Boy With Luv (feat. Halsey)”, and “FAKE LOVE” each boast over 1 billion streams, further proving the group’s enduring worldwide popularity.
