[OSENWORLD] RIIZE, under SM Entertainment, has cemented its status as a leading K-pop act by achieving a historic milestone in Japan.
According to the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ), the group’s debut track “Get A Guitar” earned Gold certification in July after surpassing 50 million cumulative streams. RIIZE is the first K-pop boy group since 2023 to achieve this milestone.
Released in September 2023, “Get A Guitar” captivated global fans with its funky sound and signature choreography that mimics guitar-playing and foot-stomping moves. The track surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify in 2024 and proved its longevity by ranking on Melon’s year-end chart and staying on the monthly chart for 15 consecutive months.

RIIZE has also continued to post strong results in Japan. Beginning with their selection as one of the “Best 3 New Artists” (Asia division) at the 38th Japan Gold Disc Awards, the group went on to earn Platinum certification (over 250,000 units) for their Japanese debut single “Lucky” in 2024 and Gold certification (over 100,000 units) for their first full album “ODYSSEY” in 2025.
The group is now connecting with fans worldwide on their first global tour “RIIZING LOUD”, which spans 22 regions. On August 30, RIIZE played a sold-out show at Taipei’s NTSU Arena and will continue the tour with three concerts at Tokyo’s Yoyogi National Gymnasium from September 13 to 15.
