[OSENWORLD] SEVENTEEN’s new special unit S.Coups × Mingyu is setting their sights on global fans with their first mini album HYPE VIBES, already hailed as one of SEVENTEEN’s most anticipated unit projects.
At midnight on Sept. 3, Pledis Entertainment unveiled the trailer “JOIN OUR VIBE,” shot in Los Angeles. The clip captures the duo’s carefree, unfiltered moments: winding down after a party, meeting new people at another gathering, and soaking up the energy of a lively beach scene. The visuals highlight their “cool” and free-spirited charisma.
Adding to the intrigue are two alien-like characters, “Koute” and “Mante,” who are gradually brought to life by musical energy, injecting a playful layer into the storytelling. The unique concept, paired with exotic scenery, has heightened curiosity among global fans.
The album title HYPE VIBES symbolizes a fiery, liberating atmosphere that anyone can share and connect with. Initially planned as a single, the project expanded into a mini album to better capture its spontaneity and organic flow. With both members already proving their range through SEVENTEEN’s group performances, sub-units like Hip-Hop Team and Leaders, and duos like Wonwoo × Mingyu, expectations for this release are running high.
SEVENTEEN’s group activities will continue in parallel. The band will kick off their SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on Sept. 13–14, before heading to Hong Kong (Sept. 27–28), five North American cities in October, and a four-dome tour across Japan from November to December. The group also recently scored a nomination for “Best Group” at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, reaffirming their global impact.
