[OSENWORLD] Actor Ahn Hyo-seop, who voices Jinu, the leader of Saja Boys in Netflix’s record-breaking animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters, has revealed the scene that left the deepest impression on him.
In a recent interview with Vogue Korea, Ahn shared: “The most memorable moment was when Derpy goes to Lumi and picks up the fallen flower pot. It delivered such a warm message, and I think that sincerity really came through.” His choice resonated strongly with audiences, who also voted the quiet yet emotional sequence as one of the film’s best scenes.
He also revealed a lighter behind-the-scenes anecdote from the movie’s much-discussed bathhouse action sequence: when Jinu slipped, he ad-libbed the Korean phrase “Joesonghamnida” (“I’m sorry”), which was kept in the final cut — a detail that continues to amuse global fans.

K-Pop Demon Hunters has become a cultural sensation, amassing 443.4 million viewing hours, 266 million views on Netflix as of Sept. 3 and surpassing Squid Game as the platform’s most-watched title to date. Ahn not only voiced Jinu’s English dialogue but also performed his singing parts, earning praise for both his authenticity and for showcasing the unique charm of the Korean language.
The behind-the-scenes stories came alongside a digital pictorial for Vogue Korea in collaboration with a luxury fragrance brand. The stylish production highlighted Ahn’s sophisticated visuals and versatility, while behind-the-scenes photos released by his agency offered a striking contrast — portraying him both as the reaper-like Jinu and as an angel, sparking new waves of fan speculation.

Amid a packed schedule, Ahn continues to demonstrate both his boundless potential as an actor and his global appeal. His ability to move seamlessly between heartfelt storytelling, high-profile collaborations, and major international projects is solidifying his reputation as one of Korea’s most sought-after global stars.
