[OSENWORLD] aespa has reaffirmed their star power with their new mini album Rich Man, which surpassed 1.11 million pre-orders as of Sept. 4. Released today (Sept. 5) at 1 p.m. KST across major music platforms, the record is poised to become the group’s seventh consecutive million-seller.
The streak, which began with their second mini album Girls, has continued through MY WORLD, Drama, their first studio album Armageddon, fifth mini Whiplash, and single Dirty Work. Rich Man is now expected to join that list, cementing aespa’s reputation as one of K-pop’s most reliable chart-toppers.
The six-track set spans a range of sounds, anchored by the title track Rich Man. Highlights include the whistle-driven Drift, the biting Bubble (a metaphor for pretense), the dreamy R&B cut Count On Me, the lively Angel #48, and the medium-tempo pop anthem To The Girls.

The title track itself is a dance anthem powered by gritty electric guitar riffs, a hook-heavy topline, and layered band arrangements that spotlight the members’ distinct vocals. The choreography combines sharp, catchy moves that build toward an explosive finale, amplifying the song’s powerful energy on stage.
The accompanying music video, unveiled simultaneously via SM’s official YouTube channel, depicts a “Rich Man” as someone who moves to their own rhythm, even in the toughest moments. The concept comes to life through high-speed car chases and a rugby match, resulting in an intense, cinematic spectacle.
aespa will premiere the track live later today on KBS2’s Music Bank.
