[OSENWORLD] G-Dragon has reignited the spirit of Las Vegas legend Elvis Presley with his 2025 WORLD TOUR [Übermensch], which has just completed its U.S. run to overwhelming acclaim.
After selling out back-to-back shows in Newark (Aug. 22–23), the K-pop icon headlined in Las Vegas on Aug. 31 and Los Angeles on Sept. 5–6, drawing a total of more than 63,000 fans. From the moment he opened with “POWER” to closing on fan favorites like “Crayon” and “Butterfly,” G-Dragon commanded the stage for over two hours entirely solo — a feat that underscored his legendary presence.
But it was in Las Vegas and Los Angeles where G-Dragon created a defining moment of this world tour. Covering Elvis Presley’s timeless ballad “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” he paid homage to America’s original King of Rock and Roll while expressing gratitude to fans. The gesture instantly resonated, turning the performance into one of the most talked-about highlights of the U.S. leg.
Thematically, Übermensch draws from Friedrich Nietzsche’s concept of the “Übermensch” (often translated as “overman”), which G-Dragon translates into a multi-sensory performance through bold visuals, live band arrangements, and stage innovations powered by Galaxy Corporation’s cutting-edge entertainment technology.
Critics drew direct comparisons to Presley’s Vegas dominance. U.K. culture magazine tmrw wrote: “By the end of the night, the audience was in a state of euphoria. This wasn’t just a comeback show — it was a masterclass in how to command a city like Las Vegas, echoing the way Elvis once ruled it.”
Fans mirrored the sentiment on social media: “G-Dragon was born to perform,” one commented. Another added, “This was my first K-pop concert, and he blew me away. A once-in-a-lifetime experience.”
The Übermensch world tour began in Seoul last March and has since electrified Asia-Pacific audiences in Tokyo, Bulacan, Osaka, Macau, Sydney, Melbourne, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, and Hong Kong before reaching the U.S. G-Dragon now heads to Paris on Sept. 20, as his reign continues on the global stage.
