[OSENWORLD] Model Ahn So-yeon, who inspired the character Mira in Netflix’s global hit animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters, has officially declared her transition into acting.
On September 8, her new agency IEUM HASHTAG announced, “We have signed an exclusive contract with actress Ahn So-yeon, who possesses powerful energy and global sensibilities. We will provide full support so she can grow into a world-class actress.” With this, Ahn joins a roster that includes Seo Ji-hye, Kim Seol-hyun, Jung So-min, and Yoon Ji-on, marking the start of her official acting career.
Born in 2001, Ahn debuted as Korea’s youngest professional model at 15 under the stage name “Ellis.” Known for her commanding charisma and striking visuals, she graced the covers of Cosmopolitan and Vogue, quickly establishing herself in the fashion world.

These experiences cemented her image as both sophisticated and distinctive, drawing strong attention from the global fashion industry.
Now, Ahn is turning her attention to acting, bringing with her fluency in English and Chinese, as well as years of experience in front of cameras. Her agency expressed confidence in the transition: “The skills and expressive power Ahn So-yeon built as a model will shine through in her acting. We will actively support her growth through diverse projects.”
With a proven international presence and a new path ahead, Ahn So-yeon is poised to expand her influence from the runway to the screen.
