[OSENWORLD] Singer Wendy is just one day away from her highly anticipated comeback.
On September 10 at 6 p.m. KST, Wendy will release her third mini album Cerulean Verge across all major online music platforms.
Wendy first launched her solo career in 2021 with the mini album Like Water. Since then, she has captivated listeners with her powerful vocals and delicate emotional delivery on songs such as “When This Rain Stops” and “Wish You Hell.” With fans’ anticipation running high, here are the key points to look out for in Cerulean Verge.
A New Album After 18 Months — A Fresh Start
This marks Wendy’s first release in a year and six months since her second mini album Wish You Hell (March 2023). That project’s title track paired a rhythmic melody with her refreshing, vibrant vocals. According to her label, Cerulean Verge reflects Wendy’s journey of finding her own colors and expressing them in new ways.
The album is also her first release since joining Ascend, sparking curiosity about the synergy she may create with her new agency.
Diverse Sounds and Wendy’s First Self-Written Song
Cerulean Verge features six tracks: title song “Sunkiss” along with “Fireproof,” “Existential Crisis,” “Hate²,” “Chapter You,” and “Believe.” Notably, Wendy will present her first self-composed track, “Hate²,” showcasing her continued growth as an artist.
A highlight medley shared on Wendy’s official social media has already teased the album’s wide-ranging palette, from alternative rock to pop, heightening anticipation among fans.
Kicking Off Promotions With Her First Solo World Tour
Following the album release, Wendy will launch full-scale activities, beginning with her first solo world tour. She will kick off “2025 Wendy 1st World Tour ‘We Are Live’ in Seoul” on September 20–21 at Jangchung Arena in central Seoul.
The tour will span 15 cities and 17 shows worldwide, including Taipei, Hong Kong, Tokyo, San Francisco, Pasadena, Sugar Land (Texas), Chicago, Brooklyn, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Macau, and Manila. The shows are expected to bring Wendy even closer to her global fanbase.
