[OSENWORLD] Rookie boy group AMPERS&ONE are making waves at home and abroad with their third mini album LOUD & PROUD, marking the group’s biggest career high to date.
Released in August, the record topped the Hanteo daily album chart on release day, placed high on the Circle retail album chart, and sold over 100,000 copies in its first week. Its title track also achieved the group’s fastest-ever 10 million YouTube views, further fueling their rapid rise.
International outlets have taken notice. On September 7, the Chicago Tribune ran an exclusive feature on the group, while Forbes and other international outlets have spotlighted their growing momentum.
In the Tribune interview, member Nakamden explained: “We decided to live our lives with confidence and pride no matter what we do. That mindset carried into our performances for this album as well.” Fellow member Choi Jiho added: “This album has an intense overall energy, with melodies and beats that stick in your head. I think fans will especially enjoy those elements.”
Both Nakamden and Mackiah took part in writing lyrics for every track, underscoring their artistic growth. Nakamden recalled writing lyrics during their U.S. tour earlier this year: “I often found inspiration just walking down the street, feeling the atmosphere of each city.” Mackiah shared: “Whenever I had free time on tour, I worked on rap verses, focusing on what I wanted to express and jotting down keywords for each track.”
Looking ahead, AMPERS&ONE will join P1Harmony’s world tour as the opening act for seven North American dates beginning September 27, further expanding their reach to global audiences.
