[OSENWORLD] K-Pop Demon Hunters is closing in on Netflix’s first-ever 300 million-view milestone, cementing its status as the streamer’s most-watched title ever.
According to Netflix’s official site Tudum on September 10 (local time), the animated film has amassed 291.5 million total views. Last week, the film had already surpassed Squid Game Season 1 and Wednesday Season 1 to claim the all-time No. 1 spot on Netflix’s cumulative viewership chart, and it has since added another 25.4 million views.
The film’s official tally will continue until September 19, marking its 91-day window since release on June 20. The big question: can it hit 300M before the cutoff?
Its momentum has eased slightly, slipping from No. 1 to No. 2 on Netflix’s weekly global Top 10 Films chart for September 1–7. Still, the soundtrack — led by hits “Golden” and “Soda Pop” — continues to fuel its worldwide popularity, keeping the global phenomenon alive.
K-Pop Demon Hunters follows Huntrix, a fictional K-pop girl group that uses the power of music to battle demons and save the world. Praised for its seamless blend of K-pop, idol culture, and Korean folklore, the film has sparked a cultural wave beyond animation. Its OST “Golden” remains firmly on the Billboard Hot 100, further proof of the project’s far-reaching impact.
