From its opening episodes, the show unleashes shocking twists that highlight why she remains one of Korea’s most magnetic stars.
At the center of the drama is Seo Munju (Gianna Jun), a United Nations ambassador celebrated for her integrity and influence on the global stage. Her world shatters when she witnesses the shocking shooting of her husband Jun-ik (Park Hae-joon). Determined to uncover the truth, she joins forces with an enigmatic special agent, Sanho (Gang Dongwon), setting off a chain of revelations that threaten the Korean peninsula.
The suspense only deepens as Munju clashes with her brother-in-law Jun-sang (Oh Jung-se), forges an uneasy alliance with her mother-in-law Ok-sun (Lee Mi-sook), and faces betrayal from President Gyeong-shin (Kim Hae-sook). In one of the series’ most pivotal moments, Munju is brought to tears by betrayal but quickly regains her resolve, declaring her candidacy for president.
