[OSENWORLD] BigHit Music’s rookie boy group CORTIS are making their mark just days after debut, becoming the only K-pop act to enter the U.S. Apple Music Top Albums chart.
On September 9, their debut album COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES ranked No. 65 on Apple Music’s U.S. Top Albums and quickly climbed the iTunes Top Albums chart, jumping from No. 88 to No. 32 by September 11.
At home, their sales have been just as strong. According to Hanteo Chart on September 11, the album sold more than 310,000 copies in three days, marking the highest first-day sales of any rookie group this year and continuing with steady growth.
CORTIS are also charting across Asia. In Japan, the album debuted at No. 2 on Oricon’s Daily Album Ranking (Sept. 9). In China, intro track GO! topped QQ Music’s Rising chart, while other songs including FaSHioN and What You Want entered multiple rankings, from Rising and New Songs to the main Hot Songs chart.
Their momentum extends to social media. On September 10, CORTIS’ official Instagram surpassed 2 million followers — just 17 days after hitting the 1 million mark on August 24.
As BigHit Music’s first new boy group in six years following BTS and TOMORROW X TOGETHER, CORTIS are poised for a fast climb on the global stage. They will begin follow-up promotions with FaSHioN on Mnet’s M Countdown on September 11.
