[OSENWORLD] The 50th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) lit up on September 10 (local time) as Han So-hee and Jun Jong-seo commanded attention on the red carpet at the world premiere of their new film Project Y.
The two stars stunned in contrasting looks. Han So-hee wore a peach-toned gown with delicate draping and a daring neckline, paired with leaf-pattern earrings and white heels. Jun Jong-seo opted for a white lace tube-top gown with a bold sweetheart neckline and corset-like fit. Long lace gloves completed the look, adding to her elegant presence.
Behind the dazzling fashion was the global debut of Project Y, directed and written by Lee Hwan. The crime-action drama follows Mi-seon (Han So-hee) and Do-kyung (Jun Jong-seo), two women who cling only to each other as they attempt to escape their grim reality by stealing hidden cash and gold bars.
The film was officially invited to TIFF’s Special Presentations section, where Han and Jun appeared alongside director Lee to greet excited fans. In a statement, TIFF Senior Programmer Giovanna Fulvi highlighted the film’s mix of intensity and emotion: “Han So-hee and Jun Jong-seo create an irresistible pull. With adrenaline-pumping action, the scars of childhood, and a fierce struggle for survival, the film delivers both electrifying tension and deep emotional resonance. Centered on a daring scheme, Project Y is one of the most anticipated Korean films of the year.”
Following its TIFF premiere, Project Y will head to Korean theaters.
