[OSENWORLD] Rookie boy group CORTIS have achieved a rare milestone: back-to-back No. 1 hits on Spotify’s Daily Viral Songs Global chart.
On September 10, Spotify confirmed that “GO!” — the intro track from their debut album COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES — topped the chart for two consecutive days (Sept. 9–10). Just a week earlier, title track “What You Want” had topped the same chart for seven consecutive days (Sept. 1–7). For a rookie act, sending two different songs to No. 1 in such quick succession is exceptionally rare, even among established artists.
Spotify’s Daily Viral Songs chart measures tracks gaining sudden momentum through spikes in streams and shares, providing a snapshot of the fastest-moving global music trends. “GO!” further extended its reach by entering the chart in 23 countries and regions as of Sept. 11, climbing to No. 1 in seven markets including Korea, Taiwan, Japan, and Indonesia.

The buzz has carried over to social media. On TikTok, more than 64,000 videos have been created using “GO!” as of noon on Sept. 12, averaging about 1.4 uploads every minute since the audio was released for challenges on Aug. 11.
At home, CORTIS also proved their strength on Apple Music Korea’s Top 100 Today (Sept. 10), where every track from their debut album entered the rankings. “What You Want” (No. 6) and “GO!” (No. 9) both landed in the Top 10, followed by “FaSHioN” (No. 18), “JoyRide” (No. 35), and “Lullaby” (No. 97).
CORTIS — Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon, and Geonho — mark BigHit Music’s first new boy group in six years, after BTS and TXT. They will continue their promotions with a performance of “FaSHioN” on KBS2’s Music Bank on September 12.
