[OSENWORLD] BTS marked leader RM’s birthday in contrasting ways — Jin gifted him luxury jewelry worth tens of thousands of dollars, while RM donated hundreds of millions of won to hospitals.
On September 12, RM tagged Jin in a social media post, writing, “Hyung gave me a gift ㅠㅠ,” alongside a photo showing off the presents. The image revealed him wearing a bracelet and ring from a French high jewelry brand, where Jin serves as a global ambassador.
According to the brand’s official website, each piece is priced at over ₩10 million (approx. $7,300). Together, Jin’s gifts are valued at around ₩30 million (approx. $22,000). The gesture underscored Jin’s role as BTS’ eldest member, highlighting his warm, brotherly bond with RM.
RM, meanwhile, celebrated by turning the spotlight outward. He donated ₩100 million (approx. $73,000) each to Seoul Asan Medical Center and Korea University Medical Center, for a total of ₩200 million (approx. $146,000). The contribution further solidified his reputation for positive influence and social responsibility.
Together, the gestures — one of luxury and one of generosity — showcased both the bond within BTS and the broader impact its members continue to make offstage.
