[OSENWORLD] For SEVENTEEN’s Jun, acting is more than just a role — it’s like stepping into an entirely new experience.
In a recent interview with ELLEMEN FRESH magazine, Jun reflected on his experience starring in the Chinese crime thriller The Shadow’s Edge, in which he portrays Hu Feng, a high-ranking figure within a crime syndicate. “Every time I take on a different role, it feels like experiencing a new soul and living a second life. It’s a very exciting process,” he shared.
The film, which opened in China on August 16, has already grossed more than 1 billion yuan (approx. $137 million) in just three weeks. Korean audiences will soon see it as well: Jun is set to appear at the Busan International Film Festival’s Open Cinema section on September 19, followed by stage greetings and a special Q&A in Seoul on September 20–21. Tickets sold out instantly.

He also shared his broader philosophy on tackling new challenges, explaining, “Starting something new is like building a wall. You have to place each brick by hand, and it’s not just about creating the form — you have to pour your soul into it.”
Jun also appeared on the cover of ELLEMEN FRESH’s seventh-anniversary issue, where he showcased styles ranging from ornate ruffles to autumn trench coats. His versatility highlighted both his energetic side and his mature aura.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN are gearing up for their SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_], kicking off September 13–14 at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium. The tour will continue with shows at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium, a North American leg across five cities in October, and a four-dome tour in Japan through the end of the year.
