[OSENWORLD] BigHit Music’s rookie boy group CORTIS have made a record-breaking entrance into K-pop, with their debut album COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES establishing them as 2025’s top rookie act.
According to Hanteo Chart, the album sold 436,367 copies in its first week (Sept. 8–14), ranking No. 2 on the weekly album chart while topping the daily chart for two consecutive days (Sept. 14–15). With this, CORTIS became the only debut boy group this year to surpass 400,000 copies in first-week sales, ranking No. 4 among all K-pop debut albums. The feat is especially striking given that the group has no survival show alumni or previously debuted members.
Their performance on digital platforms has been just as impressive. On Apple Music Korea’s Top 100 Today chart (Sept. 13), three of their songs ranked in the top 10 simultaneously: intro track “GO!” (No. 4), title track “What You Want” (No. 8), and follow-up single “FaSHioN” (No. 10). On Spotify’s Daily Viral Songs Global chart, “What You Want” held No. 1 for a full week (Sept. 1–7), while “GO!” hit No. 1 for three days straight (Sept. 9–11) — making CORTIS the only rookie group in 2025 to achieve a No. 1 on the chart.

CORTIS are BigHit Music’s first boy group in six years, following BTS and TXT. Self-described as a “young creative crew,” they co-create music, choreography, and visual content, setting themselves apart as self-driven artists. Their debut promotions have already spanned “GO!” and “What You Want,” and they are now performing “FaSHioN” on music shows, earning praise for their confident live vocals and powerful stage presence.
