[OSENWORLD] ATEEZ are igniting Japan with their powerful new single Ash, the title track of their second full-length Japanese album Ashes to Light.
Released at midnight on Sept. 17, Ash embodies the record’s core message of “new hope rising from hardship.” Its intense beats and textured soundscape highlight ATEEZ’s evolved vocals and sharp rap delivery, making a powerful impact. The accompanying music video expands on the theme, depicting a gray, dreamlike world that connects to ATEEZ’s larger lore. Ashes to Light marks ATEEZ’s first Japanese studio album in over four years since Into the A to Z (2021), a return that has drawn keen attention worldwide. The nine-track album includes five brand-new songs — Ash, 12 Midnight, Tippy Toes, FACE, and Crescendo — plus four previously released fan favorites: NOT OKAY, Days, Birthday, and Forevermore.
To celebrate the release, ATEEZ are holding a showcase in Tokyo on Sept. 17 to meet local fans. Members are also appearing across Japan’s top radio programs: Yunho on JO1’s All Night Nippon X at midnight, Hongjoong and Yeosang on J-WAVE’s STEP ONE (Sept. 18), and San on Tokyo FM’s School of Lock!
The album arrives on the heels of ATEEZ’s sold-out three-day run in Saitama from Sept. 13–15 as part of their 2025 world tour IN YOUR FANTASY. At those shows, the group unveiled Ash live for the first time, drawing explosive reactions. The tour continues in Nagoya on Sept. 20–21 and in Kobe on Oct. 22–23, ensuring that the momentum of Ash will continue across Japan.

困難から新しい希望へ――ATEEZ「Ash」が日本を熱狂させる
ATEEZが日本で待望の2ndフルアルバム『Ashes to Light』をリリースし、タイトル曲「Ash」で大きな話題を呼んでいる。
9月17日0時に公開された「Ash」は、“困難から立ち上がる新しい希望”というアルバムの核心メッセージを力強く表現した楽曲。幻想的なサウンドテクスチャーとダイナミックなビートの上に、進化したボーカルと鋭いラップが重なり、強烈なインパクトを残す。同時公開されたMVでは、灰色を基調とした幻想的な世界観が描かれ、メンバーの圧倒的なビジュアルと切れ味のあるパフォーマンスが繰り広げられ、日本ファンから熱狂的な反応を集めている。
『Ashes to Light』は、2021年発表の1stアルバム『Into the A to Z』以来、約4年6か月ぶりとなる日本でのフルアルバム。新曲「Ash」「12 Midnight」「Tippy Toes」「FACE」「Crescendo」に加え、「NOT OKAY」「Days」「Birthday」「Forevermore」といった既発曲を含む全9曲が収録され、ATEEZの多彩な魅力が詰まった一枚だ。
リリース当日の9月17日には東京でショーケースを開催し、現地ファンと直接交流。さらにユンホは『JO1のオールナイトニッポンX』に、ホンジュンとヨサンは9月18日にJ-WAVE『STEP ONE』に、サンはTOKYO FM『SCHOOL OF LOCK!』に出演するなど、日本の主要ラジオ番組でも存在感を放つ予定だ。
今回のリリースは、9月13日から15日まで埼玉で行われたワールドツアー『IN YOUR FANTASY』3days公演を成功裏に終えた直後に実現。ステージ上で新曲「Ash」をサプライズ披露し、会場を大いに沸かせたATEEZは、9月20〜21日の名古屋公演、10月22〜23日の神戸公演へと熱気をつなげていく。
