[OSENWORLD] Singer-actor Lee Jun-young’s return to music has already inspired a meaningful act of generosity. To celebrate the upcoming release of his new mini-album Last Dance, an anonymous fan donated 3 million won (approx. $2,200) to Compassion Korea, the international child development organization announced on Sept. 18.
The donation will help cover a kidney transplant for an 18-year-old girl named Benedicta in Ghana, who has been battling end-stage renal failure. According to Compassion, the contribution will support pre-surgery tests, the operation itself, medication, and recovery care to help her recover her health and return to everyday life.
The donor shared a heartfelt message: “Through supporting my favorite artist, I discovered the joy of expressing love, and I wanted to spread that positive influence. I hope this donation becomes a seed of hope for children in need around the world, helping them grow and pursue their dreams.”

A Compassion Korea representative added: “We are deeply grateful for this meaningful act of kindness inspired by Lee Jun-young. We will do our utmost to ensure the donation provides vital support, and we hope such gestures will continue to nurture a healthy culture of giving.”
Lee, who debuted as a member of U-KISS, has built a dual career in music and acting. He recently starred in Netflix’s Hierarchy as Yeong-beom and has also appeared in 24-Hour Fitness Club and Weak Hero Class 2, earning recognition as a rising talent. On Sept. 22, he will release Last Dance, marking his first musical comeback in five years.
