[OSENWORLD] aespa are extending the momentum of their sixth mini album Rich Man — which became their seventh consecutive million-seller — with a brand-new remix EP.
On Sept. 19 at 1 p.m. KST, the group will release Rich Man (Remixes), featuring four reinterpretations of the title track by Dutch EDM duo Yellow Claw, DPR CREAM, UK-inspired producer h4rdy, and DPR ARTIC. Each artist brings a distinct sound to the project, pushing the original into new musical territory.
Yellow Claw’s remix merges their signature big-room sound with the addictive energy of Rich Man, resulting in a festival-ready anthem. Its accompanying music video, premiering on SMTOWN’s YouTube channel, was created with “Flow,” a film tool powered by Google DeepMind’s next-generation AI video technology Veo, delivering surreal visuals and hidden Easter eggs for fans.
The “DPR CREAM & h4rdy Remix” blends smooth R&B and hip-hop textures with a hard-hitting UK edge, layering emotional buildups with explosive drops. DPR ARTIC’s version playfully twists the original’s vocals and lyrics into a high-energy track with driving momentum, balancing vibrant beats with darker undertones.
The remix project follows the landmark success of Rich Man, released on Sept. 5. The album logged 1.11 million pre-orders, giving aespa their seventh straight million-seller. It also reached the Top 10 on iTunes charts in 29 regions worldwide, hit No. 1 on China’s QQ Music album and video charts, earned a Platinum certification for surpassing 1 million yuan in sales, and topped Japan’s AWA real-time rising chart among other accolades.
With Rich Man (Remixes), aespa are expanding the album’s legacy, offering a bold fusion of K-pop and EDM designed to resonate with global listeners.
