[OSENWORLD] Bon Appétit, Your Majesty is proving to be both a domestic and global phenomenon. As of September 22, the tvN drama ranks No. 4 on Netflix’s Global TV chart and holds the No. 1 spot in 17 countries, including Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, and Vietnam.
Episode 10 also delivered record viewership in Korea, scoring 15.8% nationwide and 15.9% in the Seoul metropolitan area (Nielsen Korea). The series not only set a new personal best but also achieved the highest ratings of any 2025 Korean miniseries to date.
At the center of the success was Lim’s performance as Yeon Ji-young, a French chef who time-slips into the past and encounters tyrant king Lee Heon (Lee Chae-min). In the latest episode, Ji-young was falsely accused and imprisoned, but with help from Grand Queen Dowager Inju (Seo Yi-sook), she risked her life to prove her innocence and uncover the truth.
The turning point came when Ji-young discovered that Prince Jinmyeong’s (Kim Kang-yoon) medicine turned poisonous when combined with ginseng. To save him, she carefully prepared a healing royal Korean feast that restored both the prince’s health and the palace’s hope.
Later that evening, their relationship took an intimate turn. Watching Heon perform the traditional Cheoyongmu dance solely for her, Ji-young was moved to tears before the pair sealed their emotions with a heartfelt confession and kiss — a moment that left viewers swooning.

Lim balanced sincerity, inner conflict, and quiet longing with precision, drawing audiences deeper into Ji-young’s evolving journey. More than just a romance heroine, she continues to broaden her acting spectrum, following back-to-back hits with Big Mouth, King the Land, and now Bon Appétit, Your Majesty.
Her ability to shift effortlessly across genres has solidified her status as one of Korea’s most versatile and reliable leading actresses — a position few can challenge.
