[OSENWORLD] The KingDom are bringing Korean folk traditions to the global stage with their comeback track “Hwa Wol Ga,” released today.
On Sept. 23 at 6 p.m. KST, the group — Dann, Arthur, Mujin, Louis, Ivan and Jahan — unveiled their special album The KingDom: The Flower of the Moon across major streaming platforms. This is not an official studio release but a gift dedicated to their fandom, Kingmaker. However, with leader Dann having enlisted earlier than expected during production, The KingDom will move forward as a five-member act (Arthur, Mujin, Louis, Ivan and Jahan).
The title track “Hwa Wol Ga” reimagines the traditional folk song Miryang Arirang through a modern K-pop lens. It blends traditional Korean instruments such as gayageum, daegeum, kkwaenggwari and haegeum with orchestral arrangements, delivering a grand scale enhanced by the group’s explosive vocals.

The album includes four songs: “Hwa Wol Ga,” “Festival,” “Forget,” and an instrumental version of the title track. “Festival” delivers a funky, upbeat rhythm perfect for driving, while “Forget,” co-written by the members, serves as a heartfelt dedication to fans.
Since debut, The KingDom have built a reputation as “cinematic idols,” pairing large-scale performances with movie-like music videos. Their global impact includes becoming the first fourth-generation idol group to top five categories on Amazon Music U.S. and charting on Billboard.
With The Flower of the Moon, The KingDom combine cultural roots with global ambition, marking the beginning of a bold new chapter.
