[OSENWORLD] SHINee’s ONEW is opening a blooming new chapter in Japan with his second mini album SAKU, set for release on Oct. 1 at 6 p.m. KST across major streaming platforms.
The album title SAKU takes its cue from the Japanese verb 咲く (saku), meaning “to bloom.” Reflecting this inspiration, the five-track collection comes together like a bouquet, with each track reflecting floral imagery and emotions.
The tracklist includes the title song 花のように (Like a Flower), alongside KIMI=HANA, Lily, Beautiful Snowdrop, and ’Cause I Believe in Your Love. Together, they weave a narrative of beauty, resilience and renewal.
Ahead of the release, ONEW unveiled three versions of concept photos via SHINee’s official channels. Each shot captured him holding different flowers, paired with color themes of white, brown and pink — highlighting his versatility and ability to embody contrasting moods with ease.
SAKU marks ONEW’s latest step as a soloist in Japan, underscoring his growth beyond SHINee while still embracing the group’s loyal fanbase. With its floral storytelling and vocal artistry, the album is expected to showcase both his emotional depth and his range as a performer.
SHINeeのONEWが日本で新たな一歩を踏み出す。2枚目となる日本ミニアルバム 『SAKU』 が10月1日午後6時（韓国時間）に各音楽配信サイトでリリースされる。
アルバムタイトルの 『SAKU』 は、日本語で「咲く」を意味する動詞 咲く（saku） に由来している。その名の通り、収録された5曲が集まって、一つの花束のような作品に仕上がっている。
収録曲は、タイトル曲 「花のように」 をはじめ、「KIMI=HANA」、「Lily」、「Beautiful Snowdrop」、「’Cause I Believe in Your Love」 の全5曲が収録される。
リリースに先立ち、ONEWはSHINee公式SNSを通じて3種類のコンセプトフォトを公開。白、ブラウン、ピンクを基調に、異なる花を手にした姿が披露され、多彩な魅力とともにコンセプトを見事に体現した。
『SAKU』 は、SHINeeのメンバーとしての活動に加え、ソロアーティストとして日本での存在感をさらに強める作品となりそうだ。花をモチーフにした物語と感情豊かなボーカルを通じて、ONEWの表現力とアーティストとしての魅力を改めて示す作品になると期待されている。
