Most recently, on Sept. 20 (local time), thieves broke into a staff vehicle ahead of his San Jose performance. Suitcases packed with stage costumes, makeup kits, and even official merchandise were stolen. Staff scrambled to buy replacements at nearby malls, while Kang reassured fans on social media: “All our luggage was stolen. But let’s still make it a joyful show.” His calm response struck a chord with supporters worldwide.
On Sept. 6, his New Jersey concert was abruptly canceled just two hours before curtain. Kang, who was already at the venue, stepped onstage to personally apologize. His agency explained: “Due to insufficient local preparations and operational issues, it was determined that proceeding would compromise safety and quality. All tickets will be fully refunded.”
Despite the setbacks, online communities have rallied with messages such as: “Maybe this cleared the bad luck for good,” “Only good things will follow now,” and “He’s admirable for staying committed through it all.”
Kang Daniel’s tour continues with stops in Washington, New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, before moving on to Argentina and Brazil. Through every hurdle, one thing remains clear: his passion for the stage won’t be shaken.
