[OSENWORLD] Lee Byung-hun’s latest film No Other Choice opened in theaters on Sept. 24 with record-breaking momentum, debuting at No. 1 at the Korean box office.
By 7 a.m. on opening day, the film had already sold 407,353 advance tickets — the highest presale figure for a Korean release in 2025. This milestone follows 17 consecutive days at No.1 on presale charts, underscoring its position as the fall season’s most anticipated title. The film also leads across Korea’s three major theater chains — CGV, Lotte Cinema, and Megabox.
No Other Choice follows Mansu (Lee Byung-hun), a company employee who believed he had achieved everything, only to be suddenly laid off. As his once-stable life unravels, he fights desperately to protect his wife, two children, and the home he worked so hard to secure, while struggling to find new employment.
Backed by CJ ENM, the film features polished production values, richly drawn characters, and a mix of tension and ironic humor. Industry watchers predict the film could spark a new box-office phenomenon on the strength of its opening momentum.
