[OSENWORLD] BOYNEXTDOOR has sparked a wave of curiosity after launching a mysterious website on September 24 at 10 p.m. KST, packed with cryptic keywords and countdowns.
The site, tied to the group’s upcoming fifth mini album The Action, opens with what looks like a satellite map. Zooming into marked locations reveals hidden clues — each destination featuring a countdown clock hinting at future content drops.
The names of the destinations have left fans buzzing: “Crew Call,” “Play,” “Loading,” “Pause,” “Street View,” “Animatic Video,” “Submission Deadline,” “Take No.6,” and “Hollywood Action.” Even the numbers attached to these points are designed like latitude and longitude coordinates, heightening the immersive feel.
This digital scavenger hunt builds on the narrative introduced in BOYNEXTDOOR’s Kick Off video, where members Seongho, Riwoo, Jaehyun, Taesan, Leehan, and Woonhak reimagined themselves as a film production crew called TEAM THE ACTION, dreaming of showcasing their work at the Chicago International Film Festival. Fans immediately drew connections between this film concept and the outfits the group wore at Lollapalooza Chicago in August, which were later revealed to tie into the new album’s storyline.
The Action is set to drop on October 20, accompanied by a showcase where BOYNEXTDOOR will meet fans directly. Expectations are high, especially as the group has surpassed one million sales with their last two albums and landed on the Billboard 200 with four consecutive releases — cementing their global rise.
KOZ Entertainment, under HYBE, described the new album as “a reflection of BOYNEXTDOOR’s ambition for growth. It captures the six members’ determination to keep moving forward and become their best selves.”
