[OSENWORLD] JYP Entertainment’s rookie boy group KickFlip have reached a new career high with their third mini album My First Flip, cementing their rapid rise as one of K-pop’s most promising acts.
Released on September 22, the album sold over 402,000 copies in its first week according to Hanteo Chart — surpassing the group’s previous records of 276,881 with debut album Flip it, Kick it! and 340,655 with second mini album Kick Out, Flip Now!. The milestone marks KickFlip’s strongest opening week yet. The mini album also secured No. 1 on both Hanteo’s Weekly Album Chart (Sept. 22–28) and Circle Chart’s Weekly Retail Album Chart (Sept. 21–27).
My First Flip carries special meaning for both the members and fans, as all seven tracks feature songwriting or production credits from the group. The album includes the title track The First Song I’ve Ever Sung for You (처음 불러보는 노래), the pre-release single Band-Aid, as well as Singularity (특이점), Again, Here (다시, 여기), Gas On It, 404: Not Found, and It’s a Secret I Had a Nightmare (악몽을 꿨던 건 비밀이지만). Fans have praised the group’s hands-on approach and steady artistic growth.
KickFlip capped off their comeback week with explosive performances on KBS2’s Music Bank, MBC’s Show! Music Core, and SBS’s Inkigayo. Performing both Band-Aid and the title track, the group impressed with their romantic visuals, powerful vocals, and commanding stage presence, solidifying their reputation as next-generation stage masters.
Beyond music shows, KickFlip are actively engaging fans with a wide range of content. Their appearances in popular YouTube programs such as Mafia Dance, Idol Human Theater, and Silence of the Idols (돌들의 침묵) have gone viral. In addition, the group recently launched a new season of their original series KickKick Original, which streams every Friday at 8 p.m. KST, showcasing their natural chemistry, witty banter, and playful reactions.
