[OSENWORLD] CORTIS have cemented their status as 2025’s breakout rookie, becoming the first rookie boy group of the year to enter Korea’s Melon Weekly Chart while simultaneously dominating global platforms.
The group’s debut album intro track GO! landed at No. 98 on the latest Melon Weekly Chart (Sept. 22–28), marking a historic entry for a rookie boy group debuting this year. Despite officially wrapping up promotions on Sept. 28 after their Inkigayo stage, GO! also appeared on Melon’s Daily Chart at No. 98 the same day, proving its staying power.
The song first gained traction through a viral dance challenge on social media, debuting on Melon’s Daily Chart on Sept. 21 and staying for four consecutive days. Performances on Inkigayo (Sept. 21) and Music Core (Sept. 27) reignited attention, eventually pushing the track onto the weekly chart.
Their impact extends far beyond Korea. On Spotify’s Global Viral Songs chart, CORTIS scored No. 1 on three separate occasions: with title track What You Want (Sept. 1–7), GO! (Sept. 9–11 and Sept. 16–19), and FaSHioN (Sept. 22–27). As of Sept. 27, FaSHioN (No. 1), GO! (No. 2), and JoyRide (No. 5) all sat in the global Top 5 — an unprecedented multi-hit streak for a rookie act.
The fan response has been explosive. CORTIS’s Weverse community surpassed 1 million members on Sept. 28, while TikTok and Instagram followers reached 3.5 million and 3.39 million respectively as of Sept. 29. No other 2025 rookie has crossed the 3 million threshold on both platforms.
Their debut album COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES has also broken records. It recorded the highest first-week sales among all 2025 rookie albums on Hanteo, while peaking at No. 15 on the Billboard 200 (Sept. 27), the best result for any newly debuted act this year.
