[OSENWORLD] SEVENTEEN’s “Hot Guys” S.Coups and Mingyu have officially teamed up as a new unit, releasing their debut album HYPE VIBES on September 29 at 6 p.m. KST, along with the title track 5, 4, 3 (Pretty Woman) featuring rising Gen Z artist Lay Bankz.
Nicknamed the group’s “Hot Guys,” the duo’s concept is rooted in unfiltered energy and freedom, capturing the natural flow of everyday life. Through their music, S.Coups and Mingyu convey the power to live fully in each moment, drawing inspiration from the people and experiences that surround them.
HYPE VIBES embodies the duo themselves — raw, rhythmic, and alive in the present without being bound to conventions. The album translates shifting emotions into what they call “intense vibes,” offering listeners a direct glimpse into their artistry.
The title track 5, 4, 3 (Pretty Woman) is a modern love song that reimagines elements of Roy Orbison’s classic Oh, Pretty Woman. With bold lyrics about the thrill of attraction, S.Coups and Mingyu deliver the raw rush of a chance encounter. Lay Bankz not only adds her fresh voice but also appears in the music video, broadening the song’s definition of beauty through her confident presence in a fast-moving cityscape.
The music video captures the duo being drawn to confident women who exude their own unique charms, leaving S.Coups and Mingyu inspired at every turn.
This marks the first official release for the S.Coups x Mingyu unit, though both members have previously been active in SEVENTEEN’s sub-units like the Hip-Hop Team, Leaders, and the Wonwoo x Mingyu duo. Following the success of BSS, expectations are high for what SEVENTEEN’s “Hot Guys” will bring to the group’s unit legacy.
