[OSENWORLD] BTS member Jimin and his family are setting a new benchmark in philanthropy, becoming the first father-and-sons donor family to join Green Noble Club, a high-donation network under child welfare organization Green Umbrella.
According to Green Umbrella on Sept. 29, Jimin’s younger brother Park Ji-hyun officially joined the Green Noble Club in May 2025, following in the footsteps of Jimin and their father. This milestone marks the first time in the club’s history that a father and two sons have all registered as members.
Founded in 2017, the Green Noble Club has grown into one of Korea’s leading high-donation networks, boasting 548 members in just eight years. Jimin became a member in 2021 with a ₩100 million (about $74,000) donation to support young adults preparing for independence, children in financially struggling households, and those in poor housing conditions. His father joined in 2022, contributing to the group’s youth talent development program “i-Leader.” With his younger brother’s enlistment this year, the family achieved an unprecedented triple membership milestone.

Jimin’s influence has proven transformative. Through his “Together Green Future” initiative, his donations helped young adults launch small businesses, train as hair stylists, and enter the healthcare field. These success stories sparked further support from companies, creating a cycle of giving that continues to this day.
The family also contributes to “i-Leader,” which nurtures talented children into future leaders. From 2009 to 2024, more than 8,400 children benefited, with 1,573 currently active in the program.
Jimin’s father has long been active in direct, personal support. Since 2021, he has provided dental treatment for low-income families, monthly living expenses for children separated from guardians, and tuition for teenagers who almost gave up on college. He continues to fund these students even after their university admission.
Jimin himself has built a steady record of giving outside Green Umbrella. Since 2019, he has provided ₩30 million ($22,000) annually in scholarships to his alma mater, Busan Arts High School, supporting students in dance, music, and fine arts. He also donated new desks and chairs, sponsored entrance exam prep, and created performance opportunities for students whose stages were canceled due to the pandemic. His philanthropy extends further: contributions to local education offices nationwide, disaster relief for Türkiye and Syria, wildfire recovery in Korea, and scholarships for universities in Busan.
Even during military service, Jimin continued giving. He donated ₩100 million to support veterans’ families and another ₩100 million to firefighters battling massive wildfires in 2025. He also contributed ₩30 million to improve housing for low-income seniors, showing his commitment to helping those most in need.
This cycle of generosity has inspired fans worldwide. ARMY organizes donation drives in Jimin’s name for his birthday and anniversaries, helping philanthropy become part of fandom culture.
Green Umbrella recognized the family’s impact by presenting an appreciation plaque to Jimin’s father in 2024 and another to Jimin himself in 2025. Chairman Hwang Young-gi remarked, “The Jimin family’s influence goes beyond support. It represents the intergenerational legacy of giving and the expansion of philanthropic fandom culture.”
