[OSENWORLD] IZNA return with a fearless transformation, swapping fresh vibes for bold charisma on their second mini album Not Just Pretty, led by the powerhouse title track Mamma Mia.
At their showcase on Sept. 30, the six members spoke about their vision for the project. “We debuted thanks to fans worldwide. Now, we want to prove how much we’ve grown as artists with real impact,” they said.
The album aims to break past the “pretty” label and highlight IZNA’s layered identity, channeling Gen Z emotions into bold sound and unapologetic attitude. Mamma Mia rides on a minimal beat, explosive hook, and soaring melody, amplifying the group’s high-energy performance style.
With production by Teddy and 24, alongside collaborators like ViviAnne and Kush, the album balances addictive rap-heavy tracks with dynamic vocals. Member Ryu Sa Rang noted, “I studied a lot about vocal tone for this comeback, and when Teddy praised my recording, it felt rewarding.”
The group also addressed the recent lineup change, with Yoon Ji Yoon departing due to health reasons. “It’s sad not to promote together this time, but we’re cheering for each other’s paths,” Ryu shared.
Despite tough competition in the 5th-gen scene, IZNA remain confident in their edge: team chemistry and fearless performances. “Our goal is to show limitless sides of ourselves,” said Bang Jee Min. “With Mamma Mia, we want to earn titles like ‘performance masters’ and even carve out ‘IZNA’ as its own genre.”
With Mamma Mia, IZNA aren’t just proving their growth — they’re staking their claim as one of 5th-gen K-pop’s fiercest contenders.
