[OSENWORLD] CNBLUE’s Jung Yong-hwa welcomed ATEEZ leader Hongjoong to the latest episode of his music talk show LP ROOM Season 2, which premiered Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. KST on YouTube.
LP ROOM reimagines an artist’s life as a movie, curating an OST playlist along the way. Set against the backdrop of a vinyl-filled record shop, the show blends in-depth conversation with high-quality live stages, offering fans a unique music experience.
This week’s guest was none other than ATEEZ’s captain Hongjoong, who admitted he had long admired Jung. “If it hadn’t been for him when I was in middle school, I don’t think I would have grown as much,” he said, drawing a proud smile from the CNBLUE frontman.
As KQ Entertainment’s first-ever trainee, Hongjoong shared candid stories from his early days, including a time when he ate nothing but fried rice for six months. He also reflected on ATEEZ’s rapid rise — from performing at Coachella to landing on the Billboard charts and selling out stadiums worldwide.

The highlight of the episode came when Hongjoong picked Michael Jackson’s Love Never Felt So Good as the “soundtrack to his trainee struggles.” He and Jung performed a special duet of the track, blending Jung’s bright vocals with Hongjoong’s distinctive tone in a harmony that is sure to delight fans.
The LP ROOM Season 2 episode featuring Hongjoong is now streaming on Jung Yong-hwa’s official YouTube channel.
