[OSENWORLD] Lim Yoona’s kindness has become as legendary as her acting. Even after wrapping tvN’s hit fantasy rom-com Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, the actress continued to warm hearts by gifting every cast member Chuseok presents — on top of the high-end massagers she had already purchased for the entire staff during filming.
Actor Oh Eui-shik, who co-starred in the drama, summed it up best: “It was bound to come out eventually. I’ve known her since Big Mouth, and she never accepts special treatment despite being the lead. She’s the hardest-working person on set — a truly remarkable friend.”
Yoona’s generosity had been reported long before the drama aired, when she spent nearly 30 million won of her own money on those staff gifts. “I just wanted to help everyone ease their fatigue and cheer them on until the very end,” she said at the time.
That spirit extended beyond production. Co-stars Park Young-woon, Park Joon-myun, and Kim Hyun-mook all publicly thanked her for surprise Chuseok presents, while even minor cast members shared their gratitude. Actress Kim Yun-bi, who played a royal concubine, wrote on social media, “Even after the time-slip in the drama, our head chef never forgot us. Thank you, Yoona.”
Meanwhile, the show itself ended in triumph. Bon Appétit, Your Majesty peaked at a 20% nationwide rating for its finale, ranked No. 1 on Netflix’s Global Non-English TV chart for two straight weeks, and stayed in the Top 10 for six. It was also named the most-loved TV program in Korea for September 2025 by Gallup Korea.
To thank fans, tvN will air a special titled Bon Appétit, Your Majesty: No Closing the Kitchen on October 4, featuring Lim Yoona, Lee Chae-min, Kang Han-na, Oh Eui-shik, and Lee Joo-an.
Lim Yoona’s legacy from the drama is clear: she doesn’t just play the royal head chef — she embodies one, blessing everyone around her with warmth both on and off screen.
