[OSENWORLD] WJSN’s Soobin has successfully wrapped her run in the musical Burn the Witch, marking another milestone in her steady rise as a musical actress.
Soobin performed as the lead character “Love” from July 8 through October 11 at Hongik Daehangno Art Center in Seoul, captivating audiences with layered emotions and a deepened stage presence.
Soobin said in a statement through her agency, Starship Entertainment, “When I first received the script, I felt both excitement and worry. It feels like just yesterday that I began rehearsals, and now that it’s over, I’m proud but also a little sad. Portraying ‘Love’ in Burn the Witch taught me so much — not just about acting, but about who I am as a performer.”

She continued, “More than anything, this experience gave me courage and hope for the stages I’ll stand on in the future. I want to thank our fans, Ujung, for their constant support throughout the show. I promise to keep showing many different sides of myself.”
Burn the Witch is a dark comedy that reinterprets the theme of witch hunts, following a top celebrity named “Love” who encounters a witch called “Mama” and undergoes a dramatic transformation. The immersive format brought emotional depth and a dynamic energy to every performance.
As “Love,” Soobin portrayed a character adored by the public yet tormented by their judgment, expressing the role’s duality with striking detail and emotional nuance. Her portrayal of inner wounds beneath a glamorous façade left a lasting impression, while her powerful, expressive vocals elevated each musical number.
After making her musical debut in Aloha, My Mothers in 2023, Soobin went on to impress audiences and critics alike in The Great Comet, earning praise for her emotional delivery and vocal strength. With Burn the Witch, she took on a more distinctive, emotionally charged role, proving her continued artistic growth and versatility.
Next, Soobin will take on the title role in the upcoming musical Marley, running from December 20, 2025, through February 15, 2026, at Baekam Art Hall in Seoul.
