[OSENWORLD] EXO’s XIUMIN is gearing up for a high-impact comeback.
On October 15, his agency INB100 revealed a “keyword interview” and tracklist image for his upcoming digital single Overdrop, building excitement for his return. The newly released content gave fans a glimpse into the concept and energy behind his latest music.
During the interview, XIUMIN picked the lyric “Fill me to overflow” as his favorite line from the title track, hinting at the explosive energy fans can expect. He also teased the single’s contrasting moods, saying, “The two songs feel completely different — I hope fans notice the distinct vibe each track brings.”
According to the revealed tracklist, Overdrop features two songs: the title track “Overdrop” and “Fireflies.” The title track is a pop-dance song driven by a steadily intensifying soundscape and lyrics that capture the delicate tension between desire and restraint. Meanwhile, “Fireflies” offers a warm counterpoint — an urban pop R&B track featuring soft synth textures and a sentimental melody, illuminated by XIUMIN’s gentle, comforting vocals.
Set for release about seven months after his previous project, Overdrop showcases a broad musical spectrum that shifts from fierce energy to heartfelt warmth. XIUMIN first previewed both “Overdrop” and “Fireflies” at his recent encore fan concert X Times ( ) ENCORE, where the live performances drew an enthusiastic response ahead of the official release.
XIUMIN’s digital single Overdrop will drop across major streaming platforms on October 20 at 6 p.m. KST.
