[OSENWORLD] BOYNEXTDOOR enter their boldest era yet with the upcoming release of their fifth mini album The Action, out October 20 at 6 p.m. KST.
The album captures the group’s determination to take on new challenges and their desire for growth, driven by the same energy that has defined their rise since debut. True to their hands-on creative spirit, the members once again took part in songwriting and production, continuing to shape the BOYNEXTDOOR sound from within.
This time, member Lee Han joins Jaehyun, Taesan, and Woonhak on the production team, marking an expansion of the group’s musical depth. Since debut, BOYNEXTDOOR have steadily built their identity through relatable “everyday life” storytelling. Their songs reflect the emotions and experiences of youth with grounded authenticity that deeply resonates with listeners.
Their approach has proven successful both at home and abroad. The group achieved back-to-back million-selling records with No Genre earlier this year and topped both domestic and global charts with their digital single I LOVE YOU (Today Only). On the global stage, BOYNEXTDOOR have charted on the Billboard 200 four times in a row with their mini albums WHY.., HOW?, 19.99, and No Genre, while also earning three consecutive double crowns on Japan’s Oricon weekly charts.
Beyond their chart achievements, the group has showcased their ever-growing stage presence through their first headlining tour BOYNEXTDOOR TOUR ‘KNOCK ON Vol.1’ and a standout performance at Lollapalooza Chicago.
To celebrate the release of The Action, BOYNEXTDOOR will hold a comeback showcase at KBS Arena in Seoul on October 20 at 8 p.m. KST, where they will unveil the title track “Hollywood Action” for the first time. The song exudes the confidence and charisma of a Hollywood star — a fitting statement for a group rising fast on the global stage.
BOYNEXTDOOR will also perform at COUNTDOWN JAPAN 25/26, Japan’s largest year-end festival, on December 27 at Makuhari Messe, joining a lineup of top acts marking the close of a monumental year in music.
With The Action, BOYNEXTDOOR continue to aim higher — not just breaking records, but redefining what a next-generation K-pop group can be.
