[OSENWORLD] K-pop boy group TWS are going viral with their irresistible mix of power and playfulness. Their latest single OVERDRIVE is lighting up social media through a flood of fan-made dance clips — proving once again why they’re one of the genre’s fastest-rising acts.
On October 20, TWS dropped the official choreography video for OVERDRIVE, the title track from their fourth mini-album play hard, via their YouTube channel. The performance captures what fans call the group’s “bright ferocity” — a balance of cheerful energy and fierce precision.
Smiling one moment and striking with explosive moves the next, the six members deliver a performance that’s both charming and electrifying. Every beat lands with razor-sharp synchronization, while their full-body choreography radiates unstoppable momentum. Their teamwork and mutual encouragement push the energy higher right through the final frame.
A particularly viral moment is the so-called “Overdrive Challenge.” Set to the lyric “Umm,” the members cheekily shake their shoulders and bite their lips in rhythm, locking eyes with the camera. The flirty yet adorable gestures have sparked countless short-form recreations across Instagram and TikTok — with fans dissecting each frame down to the millisecond.
Riding the wave of performance hype, OVERDRIVE has surged to No. 2 on Instagram’s Rising Reels Audio chart (as of 9 a.m. KST, Oct. 21), which tracks the fastest-growing trending sounds over a three-day period. TWS stand out as the only boy group in the chart’s Top 5.
The momentum extends beyond social media. play hard sold nearly 640,000 copies in its first week (Oct. 13–19), marking their highest first-week sales to date. The album also topped the Circle Chart’s Weekly Retail Album Chart for Oct. 12–18, a major milestone for the Pledis Entertainment act under HYBE.
TWS will continue their comeback promotions today (Oct. 21) with a performance on SBS funE’s The Show.
